Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual, such as name, date of birth, ID number, email address, telephone number, profession, signature, photograph of a person’s face, medical records, bank accounts, etc.
AMLA is committed to protecting the privacy of its website users. As
a European Authority, AMLA processes personal data in line with
Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 (EUDPR).
As a general principle, AMLA only
processes personal data for the performance of tasks carried out in the
public interest on the basis of the Treaty on the Functioning of the
European Union, on the basis of the relevant legislation or in the
legitimate exercise of official authority vested in the AMLA or in a
third party to whom the data are disclosed.
You can browse most of the pages of this website without giving any information about yourself. However, in some cases, your personal data are required in order to provide the e-services/ information you request. More precisely, AMLA will typically provide you with the following e-services:
A. Information services that provide users with easy and effective access to information, thus increasing transparency and understanding of the activities of AMLA;
B. Interactive communication services, such as public consultations and feedback mechanisms, allowing contacts with several stakeholders, and subsequently contributing to the development of AMLA's policies;
C. Transaction services, such as procurement, financial operations, recruitment, event enrolment, etc.
You have the right to obtain access to the personal data held by the AMLA about you and to request its rectification or erasure, or restriction of processing or, where applicable, the right to object to processing or the right to data portability. Where the processing is based on your consent or explicit consent, you also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
AMLA processes your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2018/1725. obtain their rectification or deletion; (b) queries or
complaints concerning the processing of your personal data,

If you consider that the processing of your personal
data is infringing Regulation
(EU) 2018/1725, you may also lodge a
complaint with the European Data
Protection Supervisor . The EDPS is empowered to
hear and investigate complaints and to conduct inquiries,
including on his or her own initiative. If a breach of data
protection rules is found to have occurred, the EDPS may
exercise the powers assigned to him under Article 58 of the Regulation.

AMLA does not take any decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, without human involvement, which produces legal effects concerning natural persons or which similarly affects natural persons.
AMLA has the legal obligation to keep a central register of personal data processing activities (Article 31 of Regulation 2018/1725).
The register is a database containing records with information
about each type of personal data processing operation carried
out by AMLA.
